Az, pandai-pandai la ko pilih mana nak bawak diorang. Kalau nak cari jejantz macam Bayu Utomo Radjikin atau Norhaiza Nordin (pengukir kayu yang jejantz ok, walaupun nama feminin), pegi la tempat2 macam ni..

  1. Galeri Petronas Tempat persinggahan faveret aku kat KLCC, naknya sambil2 tunggu orang. Tu pun kalau kau tau beza dia lah. Masuk adalah percuma.
Tapi batik bagai tu kena beli.
Masa pegi dulu takde orang lagi sebab baru bukak. Pakcik jaga masa tu pun takde yang cando heehee…Masuk percuma kot.
  4. Central Market Tempat jatuh lagi dikenang, inikan pula tempat beli buku second hand.
Aku tak pernah pegi Muzium Kesenian Islam Antarabangsa, tapi katanya koleksi-koleksi dia menarik jugak.

A tag from Paival, just when I need something to distract me :). Not that I’m not distracted enough; but sometimes Fridays are so like the brakes that you put on slowly to pace the car, just before you make the final halt before the red traffic light… Thing is, I have applied for a day off today. I expect to be in Kuala Terengganu today, enjoying the sea breeze, eating battered shrimps and drinking air nira (which tastes so much like the liquid that collects in tapai nasi) but a change of plans means that there is no trip to Terengganu, and with it, no possibility to meet a friend I so much want to see in KT. So here I am in Kuantan, at the office, in ‘cuti’ mood, but trying to push myself to do a bit of work. I need to warm-up my typing as well as set my mind to do some writing, so what better exercise to do, other than doing this tag Paival tagged me with :D #A: Three Names I go by

  1. Mar - my Sabahan friends
  2. Marin - my Semenanjung friends
  3. Ea - my brothers and sister

#B: Three Jobs I have had in my life

  1. Pizza hut waitress
  2. Part-time supervisor
  3. Lecturer

#F: People that e-mail me regularly

  1. Nadiah Salwi
  2. Nurrul Haslina
  3. My boss, Ciput

#G: Three of my favourite foods

  1. Fried egg, sunny side up
  2. Pucuk paku masak lemak cili api

New look?

It has been a while since I visited the ‘manage your blog’ part of friendster. Looks like it has got more interesting features now. The look my blog had was quite a tired one, so I chose a new one, just for the sake of having a new facade. Seen the same design on someone else’s blog, so I guess I’ll be changing it again soon :).

Have to familiarise myself with the terms ‘tags’, ‘categories’, ‘link’ etc. as well.

I want to fiddle more with these features, but I’ve got to go and return a tennis racquet I borrowed to its owner.

Ah well…

I am not yet sleepy but I don’t think I have the strength to check my student’s draft thesis (or is it thesis draft?).

I love filling in forms, as long as they don’t ask me to write an essay on my motivations in applying for the thing I fill the forms for. Yeah, checking the draft would be useless….

Lagu-lagu rock kapak have the jiwangest lines
February 25, 2009, 3:16 am

Am listening to my newly-enhanced playlist. Ripped the songs from my brother’s PC last weekend hehehe…

I guess it is widely known by my friends that I am a lagu rock kapak aficionado (take that Lyn!). I realised that they have the most jiwang lines ever, much more romantic than the so-called romantic ballad songs. Here are a few examples:

  • ‘Kau ibarat kuntum bersemi
    Menunggu mentari
    Memancar fitrah pagi
Agar mimpi sucimu abadi’  (Nigina, Search)
  • My favourite, lyrics of Kejoraku Bersatu (Search), especially these lines: ‘Kamar hati ku hiasi biar cantik biar baru, Semuanya keranamu’ and ’Biar kulamar sahih dirimu, menjadi ratu, beradu dalam pelukanku, kejoraku bersatu’
(Tiara, Kris)
  • ‘Tanpamu, akulah yang rindu. Tanpa dirimu, hilanglah manja ku’ (Kau yang satu, WOW)
  • ‘Sudah sering kau kirim surat, namun tak pernah aku jawab. Lalu ku kirimkan undangan, agar kau tak berharap’ (Bukan aku tak cinta, Iklim) Bleeyyy???

Seven (not the movie starring Brad Pitt)

Am tagged again. Since I’m on a loooooooooong (not THAT long, though) holiday now, I might as well start on it. The time now is 12.41 am, 30th Dec ‘08; let’s see when will the post be published :D

7 attributes of your dream woman/men:

  1. I like manly men; more of Russell Crowe than Tom Cruise. None of those New-Age, ‘let us do yoga on weekends, darling’ thingy, please.
  2. Able to DIY. At least able to assemble an IKEA furniture, change bulbs or repair electrical 3-pin plugs.
  3. Understand my need to do things alone periodically. Like going for a free makeover… or shop without interruption.
  4. Able to debate and argue with sense and substance. And let me win eventually.
  5. Has a wicked sense of humour. If he can watch Little Britain/Futurama or read Jaafar Taib’s Jungle Jokes and laugh, then he’s in :)
  6. Has a hobby (a real and legal hobby that he’s passionate of; not a fetish or something…)
  7. Good, strong arms. Extra points if they come with good, strong legs.

7 woman/men that you’re interested in during your life time:

  1. Cikgu Mohar, my PE teacher in SMSS. He got married when I was in Form Five, and I cried. (Faiz, don’t laugh…). I googled him some time ago and I think he’s teaching in UPM now heheh…
  2. Erwin Surianto, a very naughty junior in Sabah College. Wonder where he is now…
  3. A primary-school classmate. He used to be (and maybe still is) excellent at drawing. Once he pulled on my raincoat until my chair fell over, and that was one of my sweetest memories. He’s somewhere in FB now (and, alas, already married :P …)
  4. Acis, then Gersang keyboard player, and now husband to Sheila Majid. How could I compete with Sheila?
  5. Daus, because he used to smell so nice! (Sekarang dah kurang sikit hahahah)
  6. James Martin, a very handsome chef who drives fast cars.
  7. A UKM senior named Abdul Halim. He used to play squash regularly, and I’d go play squash every afternoon, just so I would not miss a chance seeing him. I was so fit then. Lust is the best motivation ever.

7 feelings if you went out the person you’re interested with:

  1. I become quiet.
  2. I lose the sense of time. (Usually by being late hahahaha…)
  3. Happy
  4. Scared
  5. The feeling of “Look at who I am going out with, people!”
  6. Anxious
  7. Nerdy - i’d lose my wittiness… not that I’m very witty to begin with.

7 special places you want to visit with your partner

  1. Kinabalu Park
  2. Mekah and Madinah
  3. British Museum
  4. Rome
  5. San Diego, California
  6. Disney World, Orlando
  7. Morocco

7 items/special stuff you might want to give as a present to your partner

  1. Hiking boots. He’ll need them at some point…
  2. A North Face bag. I received two of these as a gift, and they’re two of the best presents ever :D
  3. A fishing rod and reel set, so he won’t be so disadvantaged when my brothers invite him to go fishing
  4. A Futurama DVD set
  5. A keychain
  6. A box of expensive chocolates (so I can share without feeling guilty)
  7. A specially monogrammed boxer shorts heehee….

7 songs you might want to sing to your partner

  1. You Are Always On My Mind by Elvis/Pet Shop Boys (because sometimes I can be terrible…)
  2. I’m Yours, unplugged - Jason Mraz
  3. Windmills of Your Mind - Sting
  4. Any of the songs from My Best Friend’s Wedding soundtrack
  5. Smile - originally sung by Charlie Chaplin
  6. Sentuhan Listrikmu - M. Nasir
  7. Tunggu Sekejap - P. Ramlee (the most jiwang malay song ever!)

Tag 7 of your friend that you would like them to do this 7 attributes

You know who you are!

Mari menaiki trak penunda dengan percuma!
December 10, 2008, 7:27 pm

Semalam buat pertama kalinya aku menaiki trak penunda lebuhraya.

Sampai kat Petronas Gambang, enjin kereta shut down ngam ngam kat tempat isi angin. Terer jugak aku membajet heheh…

Sampai sana, aku malas nak taip dah, jadi aku letak gambar je lah, because a picture is worth a thousand words (*merasa student buat assignment 5000 words letak 5 gambar nanti…)

Enjin keretaku. Macam gambar dalam majalah Kereta kan? (jgn bagi ezmil baca).

Radiator yang buat hal. Anak panah menunjukkan bahagian yang rosak.

Bahagian dalam yang dah retak dan pecah-pecah. Benda ni buat daripada fiber glass, jadi cuma tahan 6-7 tahun (Dina Jones & mamat ponen pomen tu kata. aku iyakan aje lah).

Lama gak tunggu pomen tu tukar benda2 tu, jadi aku pegi beli kebab melawati kat pasar malam depan bengkel. Nampak sedap kan? Kalau lapar, apa-apa pun sedap.

Akhir cerita, aku abis RM230 bayar kat pomen tu. Sampai rumah dah pukul 5 petang.
